The range

The whole range, one purchase order

Most buyers here are replacing two or three suppliers at once. Everything below ships from the same warehouse, on the same quotation, with the same terms.

Static load, published

What does it have to carry?

The whole catalogue on one scale. 37 models publish a static load, from 1,102 lb to 16,535 lb. Find your figure, then open the models that clear it.

Full catalogue

Static load is the weight a unit carries at rest on a flat floor. Dynamic and racking figures are lower and are published separately on each product page, alongside the bottom type, deck type and the load basis the rating was measured on.

How buying works

Documentation is part of the product

Nobody here is buying for themselves. Every request has to be justified to somebody else, so the things needed to justify it are on the site before you ask us for anything.

  1. 01

    A datasheet for every model

118 PDFs, one for each model and each variant, carrying the spec table, the technical drawing and the load ratings. Attach one to a requisition exactly as it downloads.

  2. 02

    The freight arithmetic, already done

Units per truckload and per 40 ft HC container are published on the product pages, so a landed cost per unit can be worked out before anybody picks up a phone.

  3. 03

    A quotation you can file

Issued against your own reference, priced for the volume and destination you gave us, and sent as a document rather than as a number in the body of an email.

Stock held in the country it ships to is the difference between a delivery date and a sailing date.

Why plastic

One pallet that lasts is nine that are never built

The case for plastic here is not a carbon claim. It is arithmetic about service life, and it is on the page with its sources so you can check it before you repeat it to anyone.

The four inputs

Service life of a plastic pallet, conservative100 trips
The same Virginia Tech test ran the plastic pallet to 280 cycles without failure. The calculation uses 100. Deliberately conservative. The measured case is available in the calculator.
Service life of a wood pallet11 trips
Virginia Tech FasTrack durability test, 2023: a whitewood stringer pallet failed after an average of 11 handling cycles. A sponsored durability test on a ten-step handling sequence. Peer-reviewed LCAs assume 5 to 30 real-world cycles for wood.
Lumber in a 48 x 40 wood pallet13 board feet
NWPCA Pallet Design System specification for a 48 x 40 stringer pallet: 13.1 board feet, rounded down. Lighter designs use about 10 board feet. The specification figure is used, rounded down.
Lumber from one mature hardwood tree320 board feet
Ohio State University Extension tree volume tables, International quarter-inch rule: 18 in diameter, three 16 ft logs. A mature sawtimber tree. Yield varies with species, diameter, log count and mill practice.

Before you ask

Questions we answer by email every week

If yours is not here, the fastest route is the phone. Somebody who knows the catalogue picks it up.

  • Do you publish prices?

No. Every figure on this site is quoted, because the price depends on the volume, the specification and where it is going. Tell us those three things and a written quotation follows within 24 hours, priced in Canadian or US dollars.

  • Is there a minimum order quantity?

We quote against the quantity you actually need rather than against a published minimum. Truckload and 40 ft container quantities carry the best rate, and the number of units that fit on a truck and in a container is published on every product page, so you can see where those breaks fall before you ask.

  • Where do you ship from, and where do you deliver?

Everything ships from our own warehouse at 601 Magnetic Dr #29, North York, ON. We deliver across Canada and the United States. Because the stock is already in the country, an order is not waiting behind an import lead time, and the delivery date is confirmed in writing on the quotation.

  • What weight can a plastic pallet hold?

It depends on how the load is supported, and the three published figures are not interchangeable. Static load is what the pallet carries standing on a flat floor. Dynamic load is what it carries while it is being moved by a forklift or a pallet truck. Racking load is what it carries supported only at its two ends in a beam rack, and it is always the smallest of the three, which is why a pallet chosen on its static figure alone is the one that fails in racking. Across this catalogue the published static ratings run from 1,102 lb to 16,535 lb. Every pallet publishes its static and dynamic figures on its own page, and its racking figure wherever it is rated for racking.

  • What sizes do plastic pallets come in?

The North American standard is the 48 by 40 inch footprint, and more of this range is built on it than on any other footprint; the published dimension is 47.24 by 39.37 inches, because the moulds are metric 1200 by 1000 mm and that is the exact conversion. We also publish the 47 by 31 inch euro footprint (1200 by 800 mm), a 51 by 43 inch heavy-duty footprint, and a 31 by 24 inch display pallet. Every product page prints its own dimensions imperially with the metric original beside it rather than converting a converted figure.

  • How much does a plastic pallet weigh?

Across the pallet line the published net weights run from 6.39 lb to 60.63 lb. A nestable pallet sits at the light end, because the whole point of it is that it costs little to ship back empty, and a heavy-duty racking pallet sits at the top. Net weight is published on every product page, and it matters for two reasons beyond handling: it sets your freight cost on the outbound leg, and it is subtracted from your gross weight limit on the truck.

  • Do you sell plastic skids?

Yes. Skid and pallet are the same object in most Canadian warehouses, and anything on this site listed as a plastic pallet is what a purchase order calling for a plastic skid is asking for. The one distinction worth making is the base. A skid in the strict sense has continuous runners and no bottom deck, which here is the 3-runner and 6-runner bottom types. A leg base, 6 or 9 legs, gives four-way entry for a pallet truck, and on the nestable models lets empty units sit inside one another. Bottom type is published on every pallet page.

  • Are plastic pallets stronger than wooden pallets?

Not automatically, and strength on the first trip is the wrong comparison. A hardwood stringer pallet and a rackable plastic pallet can carry comparable static loads when both are new. What differs is the hundredth trip: plastic does not splinter, does not absorb water or take on weight in the wet, loses no nails, and holds its published rating for its service life, where a repaired wooden pallet quietly stops matching the figure it was bought on. Plastic is also dimensionally identical unit to unit, which is what automated handling and racking need. Wood wins on one count, the unit cost of a single one-way shipment.

  • Are plastic pallets cheaper than wooden pallets?

Not per unit, and the unit is the wrong thing to compare. A wooden pallet is cheaper to buy once; a plastic pallet is bought once and used for years, so the figure that decides it is cost per trip rather than cost per pallet. Divide the purchase price by the number of cycles each one will actually survive in your operation. That arithmetic is the whole argument for plastic in a closed loop where the pallets come back to you, and it is the argument against it for a one-way export shipment nobody expects to see again. Tell us which of the two you are running and we will quote accordingly.

  • What is the difference between a nestable and a rackable pallet?

A nestable pallet has no bottom deck, so empty units sit inside one another and take a fraction of the space on the return leg. A rackable pallet has a heavier base and reinforcement built to be supported only at its two ends, which is what a beam rack does to it. Nestable saves freight; rackable survives the rack. We publish 11 nestable and 5 rackable models, each with its own static and dynamic figures, and a racking figure wherever the model is rated for racking.

  • What do 9-leg, 6-runner and 3-runner mean?

It is the shape of the base. Nine legs give four-way entry for a forklift or a pallet truck, and on the nestable models let empty units sit inside one another. Three or six runners are continuous skids that spread the load along their length, which is what a pallet needs when it is carried at the ends in racking rather than supported across a floor. Bottom type is published on every pallet page, and it is usually the second thing to check after the load rating.

  • Are the pallets food-grade?

The food-grade line is moulded from food-grade HDPE with a fully closed deck, and the leg-base models publish an easy-wash surface resistant to industrial detergents. On certification we will tell you exactly what we hold: the manufacturer reference states the material is food-grade, and the certificate itself is confirmed with the plant against your order. We would rather say that than print a standard number we have not seen.

  • Can we have them in our own colour, with our logo?

Yes. Pallets run grey, white, navy and blue as standard, with other colours to order, and the bins line runs yellow, dark green, charcoal grey, blue, red and light green. Your mark can be printed or embossed into the moulding itself. Anti-slip strips, safety rims from 4 to 22 mm, reinforcement profiles and ESD grades are specified per order rather than stocked as separate products, so they are priced on the quotation.

  • What temperature range do they hold?

Forty-five models publish minus 4 to plus 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which covers ambient and chilled work, and four publish minus 4 to plus 86. Every product page states its own range. If you are running a blast freezer, say so on the request and we will confirm it against the exact model before quoting.

  • Can I get a datasheet before requesting a quotation?

Yes, and you do not have to ask for it. Every model has a datasheet PDF on its product page carrying the spec table, the technical drawing and the load ratings. There are 118 of them across the catalogue and its variants.
