47×31 Euro Pallet, Open Deck, 3-Runner

The pallet handles with a hand pallet truck, a forklift or a reach truck, and is specified as suitable for automatic shuttle racking and conveyor systems. The deck carries an anti-slip surface to limit load movement in transit.

It is serviceable from −4 °F to +104 °F (−20 to +40 °C), which covers unheated warehousing and chilled distribution alike, and the polyethylene resists humidity, airborne environmental pollutants, and chemical acids and corrosives.

Racking capacity is the specification that separates the three builds. The unreinforced pallet is rated for 882 lb unsupported on beams; where beam racking is the primary storage method rather than floor stacking, the reinforced builds raise that substantially:

• EP-231 unreinforced. 26.46 lb, 2,205 lb dynamic, 882 lb racking.
• EP-231-4P four profiles. 36.38 lb, 3,307 lb dynamic, 2,756 lb racking.
• EP-231-6P six profiles. 40.79 lb, 3,858 lb dynamic, 3,307 lb racking.

Static load is 8,818 lb unreinforced and 11,023 lb with either profile set. The profiles stiffen the deck under load, they do not change the moulding.

The pallet has dedicated insert areas for a logo, a tracking identifier or a plant code, applied directly into the moulding surface. Both printed and embossed options are available.

It is supplied in all standard colours, which is the other half of the same job: colour-coding pallet pools by site, customer or product line is the cheapest inventory control a distribution network has.

The EP-231 is specified for the distribution networks of non-food environments: intra-logistics operations, automotive supply, and retail distribution.
