The deck is the point of difference. Long, durable stringers run across it and raise the bearing capacity of the pallet. Racking capacity is 1,102 lb, against 882 lb for the lighter EP-231. It takes 8,818 lb static and 2,205 lb dynamic at a net weight of 29.76 lb.
It is specified for distribution networks and for racking systems. Where loads sit unsupported on beams, the racking figure is the number that governs.
Three integrated full-length runners give a continuous bearing surface, so it runs on automatic shuttle racking and conveyor systems that will not take a nine-leg base. It handles with a hand pallet truck, a forklift or a reach truck, and the deck carries an anti-slip surface.
A single moulding of high-density polyethylene, resistant to humidity, airborne environmental pollutants, and chemical acids and corrosives. Serviceable from −4 °F to +104 °F (−20 to +40 °C), which covers unheated warehousing and chilled distribution alike. Supplied in all standard colours, so pallet pools can be colour-coded by site, customer or line.
Dedicated insert areas take a logo, a tracking identifier or a plant code, moulded straight into the surface. Printed and embossed options are both available.
The deeper section costs some density in transit: 580 pieces per jumbo trailer and 470 per 40 ft high-cube container, against 700 and 550 for the 150 mm build. Worth weighing against the racking gain if freight is the larger line in your costing.
