48×40 Nestable Pallet, Open Deck, 9-Leg, High Load

1,820 per jumbo trailer and 1,500 per 40 ft high-cube. No 48×40 in this catalogue ships more. The closed-deck NP-193 matches it exactly, and both come with no conditions: the pallet arrives complete, with nothing to assemble.

Against the rigid pallet on the same nine-leg base, that is 2.8 times as many. If empties travel back to you, that gap is the case for this pallet.

Both figures are stated identically by the specification table and the datasheet, with no conflict between them, which is worth saying on a page in this range. Both assume an evenly distributed load and fall with a concentrated or point load.

Set against the other nine-leg nestable, the NP-191, this is twice the static and 1.8 times the dynamic for 0.7 kg more pallet. One caveat on that comparison: the NP-191 publishes the lower of two static figures in circulation for it, so it is measured against the conservative number rather than a settled one.

Light-goods export and production-line work, and bulky but light loads in particular: the deck is the full 48×40 while the pallet is under 16 lb, so it carries volume cheaply and one person can move an empty one by hand.

High-density polyethylene and polypropylene, resistant to humidity, airborne environmental pollutants, and chemical acids and corrosives. The open deck washes down and dries. Safety rims of 5 mm, which the NP-191 does not offer.

Overall height is 5.31 in (135 mm), which the drawing splits into a 35 mm deck over 100 mm legs. Serviceable from −4 °F to +104 °F (−20 to +40 °C). Supplied in grey, white, navy or blue, with other colours to order. Dimensions carry a ±5 mm production tolerance.
