A conventional pallet wears on one deck and gets scrapped with the other still good. This one is turned over and put back into service, which is the whole argument for it in a closed-loop or multi-use operation. It also removes an orientation error from automated handling, because there is no wrong way up.

Racking is where the gap really opens. 1,200 kg on beams is a working rating for full pallet loads, where the lighter builds in this family are limited to 300 kg. Every figure still assumes an evenly distributed load and falls with a concentrated or point load.
It is moulded as two pieces welded together, which is the reason for both the strength and the weight.
