The RC-122 is the **48×40 rigid bulk container with a drop door**: the
same 700 litre box as the RC-121, with a hinged panel in the top of one
long wall that **swings down and out**.

### What the door is for
A closed bulk container has to be **tipped or lifted** to empty it. This
one does not. Release the two **steel rods** and the panel drops clear, so
the contents can be reached, raked or scooped from standing height.

The panel is **370 mm deep** measured down from the rim, which the
drawing dimensions directly. That is the working opening you
get in the top of the wall.

This matters most where a box is emptied **part-way and repeatedly**,
which is the normal pattern in food preparation, on a picking line, or
anywhere a forklift tipper is not available.

### Capacity and dimensions
- **Outside 47.24 × 39.37 × 36.02 in (1200 × 1000 × 915 mm)**
- **Inside 43.70 × 35.43 × 27.56 in (1110 × 900 × 700 mm)**
- **185 US gal (700 L)**
- **100.31 lb (45.5 ± 0.5 kg)**

Of the 36.02 in overall, **33.46 in (850 mm) is the box itself** and the
remaining **2.56 in (65 mm) is the feet**. The wall section is **45 mm**
at the ends, which is the 90 mm the 1200 mm outside loses against the
1110 mm inside. Dimensions carry a **±5 mm production tolerance**.

### Ratings
- **Static load 11,023 lb (5,000 kg)**
- **Stacking load 11,023 lb (5,000 kg)**
- **Dynamic load 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)**
- **Racking load 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)**

All assume an **evenly distributed load**. **Cutting a door into a wall
costs this box nothing on paper**: every rating matches the solid-walled
RC-121 exactly, including racking.

### Base
The base **snaps on**, and it comes **either as two runners or as nine
legs**. The runner build is the standard one and the one the SKU is named
for; the leg build appears on the datasheet and in three of the renders.
If you need the nine-leg version, **ask us** and we will confirm its
weight and rating before you order.

Nine feet, **150 mm across**, leave clear openings of **375 mm along the
long side and 275 mm along the short side**.

### A note on the weight
**Two figures** are in circulation for this box: 45 kg, and the
datasheet figure of 45.5 ± 0.5 kg. We publish **100.31 lb (45.5 kg)**,
the heavier, because understating a tare weight is what over-books a
trailer. It is also exactly what the solid-walled RC-121 weighs on the
same envelope.

### Construction
Walls and base are both **closed** apart from the door, with an **external
rib grid** on the walls and a **diamond lattice** under the base. Corners
are **rounded**.

### Where it goes
Vegetables, fresh and dried fruit, nuts, small parts and loose bulk goods,
across **the food industry, agriculture and industrial production**. It
**adapts very well to automatic conveying systems**, and **the material
is food-grade**.

Handled with a **forklift, reach truck or hand pallet jack**.

### Cleaning and resistance
**Washable and suitable for disinfection.** Resistant to water, to
airborne environmental pollutants and to corrosive chemicals.

### Identification
Logo **printed or embossed**, both offered, in a **70 × 80 mm panel on
the centre pillar of the long wall**. **RFID transponders can be
integrated.** Supplied in **grey, white, navy or blue**, with other
colours to order.

### Freight
**104 per jumbo trailer and 84 in a 40 ft high cube**, identical to the
solid-walled box.
