The RC-121 is the **48×40 rigid bulk container**: a 700 litre box with
closed walls and a closed base, rated to **carry five tonnes standing and
to take five tonnes on top of it**.

### Two bases, and the choice matters
The same box comes on **two runners** or on **nine legs**, and this is not
a cosmetic option:

- **RC-121**, two runners, **100.31 lb**. The runners are what make it
**rack-capable**, and it carries a published **racking load of 2,205 lb
  (1,000 kg)**.
- **RC-121-9L**, nine legs, **98.11 lb**. What it gains is **pallet jack
access from all four sides**, and a documented **castor option**.

If the box is going on beams, take the runners. If it is being moved by
jack in a tight aisle, or you want it on wheels, take the legs. Load
ratings, footprint, capacity and freight are identical either way.

Both bases **snap on**, so the feet are replaceable parts rather than part
of the moulding.

### Capacity and dimensions
- **Outside 47.24 × 39.37 × 36.02 in (1200 × 1000 × 915 mm)**
- **Inside 43.70 × 35.43 × 27.56 in (1110 × 900 × 700 mm)**
- **185 US gal (700 L)**

Of the 36.02 in overall, **33.46 in (850 mm) is the box itself** and the
remaining **2.56 in (65 mm) is the feet**. The wall section is **45 mm**
at the ends, which is what the 90 mm lost between the 1200 mm outside
and the 1110 mm inside works out to. Dimensions carry a **±5 mm production
tolerance**.

### Ratings
- **Static load 11,023 lb (5,000 kg)**
- **Stacking load 11,023 lb (5,000 kg)**
- **Dynamic load 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)**
- **Racking load 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)**, on the runner build only

All assume an **evenly distributed load** and fall with a concentrated or
point load. **The stacking figure comes from the datasheets**, which is
worth knowing because it is not always listed alongside the other
ratings.

### Construction
Walls and base are both **closed**, so nothing escapes through the sides.
The walls carry an **external rib grid**, and the underside of the base is
a **diamond lattice**. Corners are **rounded**.

The base stands on **nine feet, 150 mm across**, leaving clear openings of
**375 mm along the long side and 275 mm along the short side**. Those are
the numbers to check a fork or a jack against, and they close exactly
against the 1200 and 1000 footprint.

### Food handling
**The material used to make this box is food-grade**, and both datasheets
carry the **glass-and-fork food-contact symbol**. The specification row
still lists the material as **HDPE** without qualification, and that is
what is published above. **Food-contact certification is available on
request.**

### Where it goes
Vegetables, fresh and dried fruit, nuts, small parts and loose bulk goods,
across **the food industry, agriculture and industrial production**. It
**adapts very well to automatic conveying systems**.

Handled with a **forklift, reach truck or hand pallet jack**.

### Cleaning and resistance
**Washable and suitable for disinfection.** Resistant to water, to
airborne environmental pollutants and to corrosive chemicals.

### Identification
Logo **printed or embossed**, both offered, in an **80 × 70 mm panel on
the long side**. **RFID transponders can be integrated** for pool
tracking. Supplied in **grey, white, navy or blue**, with other colours to order.

### Freight
**104 per jumbo trailer and 84 in a 40 ft high cube.** If empty return
freight is the problem you are solving, ask us about the collapsible and
nestable ranges instead.
