The AC-101 is the **lid for the 48×40 bulk containers**: a single moulded
cover that sits over the full opening rather than a partial cap.

### What it is for
It **reduces damage in transit** by closing the box, and it is what makes
a stacked column behave: the lid takes the container above it rather than
the load below taking it.

Two details are worth knowing before you compare it with anything else:

- **Integrated locking corners**, so a stack holds together rather than
  relying on the load.
- **Moulded grooves for strapping**, so a band sits in the lid instead of
  riding over its edge.

40 mm; the drawing dimensions the lid at **78 mm** on its edge view. They
are almost certainly measuring different things, the panel against the
full moulding, and we publish the specification figure. **Ask us if the
stacked height matters to your plan.**
